"Hidden Gem ... Don't tell anyone !!! This restaurant has been revived, vamped, refreshed and restored . It is a real hidden delight! It is located in Aylesford in a delightful building which in itself is full of character and interest. Now to business - the food is of the highest standard as is the service. The wine list , while not massive, provides a varied selection to accompany the meal. Presentation of the dishes is first rate and the portion sizes are generous for an establishment such as this . Really pleased that we should have a restaurant of this calibre so close to home - I suspect we will be back a number of times through the summer . It is too good not to ! "

"We had lunch at the Hengist after visiting the nearby Friars, the lunch was delicious and the service was good , very friendly staff. We would defiantly go there again hopefully in the summer when we could dine out on the terrace."
